2025 - 80th Anniversary Trip FAQs
1) Are flights included in the cost of the trip?
Flights from Atlanta to Frankfurt and back to Atlanta are included in the cost of the trip. What is not covered is the transportation cost to Atlanta nor the parking/lodging fees associated with parking/staying in Atlanta.
2) Are meals included in the cost of the trip?
Breakfast at the hotel is included in the cost of the trip. Lunch and Dinner costs, however, are NOT covered in the cost.
3) How much money do I need for meals during the trip?
We recommend about 40-50 Euros per day for lunch and dinner and snacks.
4) What items should I pack for the trip?
We have a SUGGESTED PACKING LIST that you can reference.
5) Are museum costs included in the trip cost?
Yes! All entry fees to museums are included in the cost of the trip.
6) What is the itinerary and is it possible to personalize the trip specifically to my interests?
The itinerary can be found on the TOUR page. The itinerary covers all the the most important sites of the Day landings as well as some of the off beaten sites that most tours will not take you to. We do have the ability to cater to specific requests to visit certain sites at no extra cost. If you have a family member that served in the vicinity we are happy to alert the schedule to personalize the itinerary to make it an event more memorable experience for you and your family. Simply provide us with as much information as you can about your person of interest (Division, PIR, Company, Regiment, etc..) to assist us in personalizing the trip to your interest.
7) Are transportation costs included?
Yes. The fees associated with the trip cover transportation from Frankfurt to all locations in Belgium and Germany, including any fuel or toll road and train costs.
8) Are there any resources I can use to prepare for the historical aspects of the trip?
Yes! Several resources such as movies and books provide excellent historical perspectives. Please see our recommended list of books and movies here (add hyperlink)
9) Do I need to speak French, German, or any other foreign language? Will my trip experience be hindered because I can’t speak French?
No! Many of the areas we will visit are used by tourists and have English-speaking workers present. If we have encounters with non-English speakers, we have resources available to communicate effectively to meet our needs. We do, however, have a German-speaking member of the team.
10) Are the tours included in the trip?
Yes! Each day will be packed with personalized tours. You will be guided to all the important historical sites and be given information pertaining got both the overall historical importance of the location as well as personalized stories from participants in the battles for each specific site.
11) What is the cost of the trip and is there a payment plan?

12) What happens if my plans change and I am not able to attend after making some or all of the payments? Will my money be refunded?
The first payment/deposit will be refundable before January 1st, 2025, or roughly 5 months before the tour dates. Because we are providing the tour at such a low cost, and given our touring size is limited (by design), the 1st payment/deposit will not be refunded after the January 1st, 2025 deadline, or roughly 5 months before the tour departure date.

Extra pair of comfortable shoes (wear a pair/take a pair) - we do a lot of walking and sometimes having an alternate pair of shoes help in foot comfort.
Toiletries in gallon zip lock bag (don’t bring anything you don’t want to have to throw away) - use a disposable razor, 3oz deodorant/toothpaste/shampoo - everything under 3oz to be TSA approved.
Extra zip lock bags (gallon size) - for dirty/wet clothes and/or packing sandwiches to eat on during day
Small Day bag for snacks. phone, camera, chargers, etc…

Drivers License
Security sleeves for debit/credit cards/passport
Sink stopper (if you wish to wash clothes in sink)
Stain remover/pocket laundry wash/body wash…
