“Having never been to Europe before, I really didn’t know what to expect. But the entire trip was such a revelation! From the accommodations to the places we visited, every new experience was not only entirely enjoyable, but incredibly educational and enriching. The museums were fantastic, and the historical sites really made the history come alive. I had high hopes for the quality of the food, and I was definitely not disappointed! But probably the most unexpected thing was the honor with which the local people treated us as descendants of WWII veterans.
In every village we visited, the locals were so kind and thoughtful! The sacrifice made by the WWII soldiers has not been forgotten there.
It was a truly humbling experience. I cannot wait to go back!”

“In June 2018, I traveled to Normandy with Janton and a few friends, that knew all the D-Day sights. We were immersed in 1944, given missions the night before that we read and trying to locate the exact spots where those iconic photos were taken of D-Day that we’ve all seen! Then it hits you, I’m standing in the EXACT SAME SPOT! Now, I am part of the story! We stayed in the same building that housed the German troops that occupied Sainte-Mere-Eglise. This the same village that the American paratrooper landed on the church steeple, made famous from the movie, The Longest Day. From there, we drove to the beaches where the Allies landed and all the other famous hamlets which are all nearby.
This was a life-long dream for me.
One of my Great Aunts was engaged to a young paratrooper who killed on the jump the night before D-Day. I brought his parachute wings he gave to my Aunt and I laid them on his tombstone at the National Cemetery at Normandy. At that same moment, on the other side of the planet, in the same little town in North Carolina where she met him, my Great Aunt passed. This was a tight-knit small group when we left Normandy. This was an amazing trip that I will never forget”

“I’ve been blessed with may opportunities to travel, see, and experience many wonderful things but my trip to France was amazing. The accommodations, meals, and sights were more than I ever could have imagined. I had heard my grandfather speak of what he saw during World War II, but to experience those battlefields, beaches, and to walk the streets that he had walked firsthand was just incredible.
This trip put me in touch with a part of my own history that I thought I would never know.
Thank you Janton, Joe, and Keith for sharing your knowledge and leading me on the trip of a lifetime.”
